  Welcome to my beauty page...

I have always had a liking for beauty products, ever since I was young. I love completing all of the different steps to making yourself look pretty! Starting with all the different types of lotions, creams and moisturisers, there's so many to choose from!

Then there's the fundamental stage, foundation, contour, concealer and highlighting (My favourite part) and the rest of the steps are just as amazing. I really can't wait to fill this page with some essential makeup tips and advice, as well as many beauty hacks. On to the rest of beauty, even though I will be filling this page with lots of makeup resources I will also be including lots of new hairstyles, nail art, recommended products, makeovers, spa related ideas and lots more (For anyone who is not a lover of makeup). Garnier cleansing water 100ml £1.99

The Garnier micellar cleansing water is a product I bought a few months back from boots when i saw it was being recommended on social media and in magazines. However, when I bought this I realised they had different amounts for similar prices, I advocate you start with using the travel size bottle (100ml) if you have never used the material before since you can always upgrade later (if you like it of course!) I found this product is marvellous when it comes to applying it to your face as it doesn't irritate your skin or cause it to rash, so if you have sensitive skin just like me, this product will be good for you! Once i had used this item, I found that my skin felt very soft, refreshed and clear (something many of us girls stride for!) This micellar cleansing water is made to remove makeup and dirt from your face, though I found it gave a shiny gleam to your face in the end! To apply the water, use a cotton pad and gently smoother onto your face, including your eyes and lips for the best outcome. As many people would probably agree, perfumed/scented products always aggravates your body, but fortunatly this item is perfume free! So the question is,  was there any cons about the product? Unfortunatly, I found this product does bubble really bad in the bottle, meaning it feels as if your applying gas to your face rather than cleansing water. Although, that is my only unpleasent thing about this product. Putting that aside, I definetly recommend this product!

Don't get me wrong, I do love a nice face mask, who doesn't? However, there has been a few times where i've bought a mask and it's irritated my face, dissapointing right? Although when I discovered that is was quite simple to make a diy face mask I couldn't wait to try it out! So during this blog, i'm going to be giving you a few of my favourite methods that you can try to make your very own mask! The first cleansing mask, which has to be one of the best i've used, is the mocha-frappucino mask. The facial scrub is mainly applied in the morning since it contains coffee, a highly awakening substance. The mask exfoliates your face, leaving it feeling smooth and refreshed for the busy day ahead!

To make one serving of the mocha-frappucino mask you will need:

  • 2 tbsp. freshly ground coffee (the finner the grind, the better).
  • 3 tbsp. milk, (whole) heavy cream or yoghurt.
  • 2 tbsp. cocoa.
  • 1 tbsp. honey.

Mix all the ingredients together well and apply to your dampened face. Leave for 10-15 minutes whilst enjoying a warm cup of coffee! Remove the paste with hot water, either in the bath or shower, scrubbing very lightly. Finally, appreciate the smoothness of your face!

The second mask, which i absoloutly loved, is the strawberry-kiwi facial polish. I found the polish, not for shoes!, was great for either oily, dry or normal skin types. The substance doesn't only just soften your face, but it's also an amazing facial mask for cleansing and brightening your skin!

To make one application of the strawberry-kiwi facial polish you will need:

  • 2 strawberries.
  • 1-inch slice of kiwi (peeled).
  • 1 tsp honey.
  • 1/2 tbsp finely ground oats.
  • 1/2 tsp olive, sweet almond or avocado oil.
  • 1 tbsp cornmeal.

Using a small blender, add the kiwi slices and strawberries and start blending together. While the fruits are processing, drizzle in the honey and oil. After you have finished blending, you will finish up with a glossy pink goo. Pour the mix into a small bowl and add the contents of finely ground oats and cornmeal. Stir well and enjoy your burnished, clear skin!

The third mask, which confused me a little, is the avocado glowing mask. The consistency of this mask was great and had a likeable texture, yet I found the mask did irritate my cheek quite a lot when it was applyed to my face. Although there is many different recipes for the avocado face mask but i advise you do not use the one containing lemon juice as it did exaspearate my face quite badly! However, I did go ahead and try the mask without the lemon. When i used this mask, the outcome made my face feel smooth and delicate. If I use this mask again, I will be using the recipe without lemon to avoid irritating my face once again!

To make the avocado glowing face mask you will need:

  • 1/2 an avocado.
  • 1 tbsp honey.

Mash the avocado, using the back of a fork, in a small bowl. Next, add the honey into the bowl until the two combinations are made into a thick paste. remove any dirt or makeup from your face and apply the mixture with a makeup brush. Finally, Remove with luke warm water adore your soft skin!

I hope you will eventually try these masks as I thought they worked amzingly, especially if your skin needs a litlle TLC!
